He wants you to have all of them ready in a big folder then he'll give you a link to upload them all to.
Host a folder without packaging?
Is that possible?

One-by-one. I understand now and why.

  • Put them all into a single archive
That means a rar/zip/whatever

I would offer to do one, But no doubt somebody already is so it would be pointless.

I still dont know why we cant just start from scratch.
I bet not one person is going into a board to download. Although it is possible, but take more than 1 or 2 days.

Also, at total (rounding) we are looking around 3,320 files to be downloaded.
Add-Ons: Around 1500
Maps: Around 280
Music: Around 1440

I'm doing maps.
Also, GSF Maps has at least 20-30 maps.

I will try to do add ons tommorow. As I have an unlimited download amount. Can you give a more detailed description on what will happen? Also, why not make hosts upload all the add-ons that they have turned on when they start a server, then people could just download them from there when they join? Then the files could be deleted when the server ends. This would solve the problem of add ons that are private or unreleased.

and updates, although that would take a lot more memory, to store the addons from EVERY server, as they could be different from eachother in the files of the same addon (edits)

Once this is done with, you should either A) Make it so that people can upload add-ons as attachments and link the files from there to the game or B) Try and see to it that all of the add-ons go to RTB from here on out.

Is that even possible?

I have a problem with Exper's Terrain Obby.
Featuring 20 levels. Lazy, don't feel like making more screens. To use this, remove both folders, and place inside addons. DO NOT put this directly into addons.
Different installation instructions.

Maps are done, currently being uploaded.

And we get to see a list of all the files so everyone can check for add-ons that aren't there?

I could do a lot if I get a direct link to all the ZIPs.

Badspot What about all the Broken links

Like Add-on not found and stuff
Broken Mediafire links too

Add-On Not Found

You have followed a link from the old RTB2 Downloads System which has closed down.
There is a chance someone has uploaded this to RTB3 so it would be worth searching there too!

What's all of this for?

Maybe if you'd read the main post you would know.
