California Prop 19 Results: No thanks to a ballot proposal that would have made it the first state to authorize marijuana for recreational use and sales, said the California voters.

Proposition 19, the legalization of marijuana for adults 21 and above to take an ounce of it, grow it in private plots and smoke the drug in nonpublic places, was rejected Tuesday.

The proposed law also states that local governments will be authorized to allow commercial pot cultivation and sales.

Proponents inclined a rational experiment for reducing marijuana-related arrests and crime and the measure as a source of tax revenue.

I watching History Channel Marijuana: A Chronic History. Holland actually has less teenage marijuana users and an equal amount of adult users despite them having Amsterdam. Believe it or not weed is actually illegal in Amsterdam, but it is not enforced. The government makes 3.7 billion dollars a year in Holland from taxing weed, and they actually have much fewer hard drug users than USA. It currently costs the US tax payers 13.7 billion dollars a year to arrest and prosecute and prison people for weed-related crimes. The government considers weed a more dangerous drug than cocaine, meth, and heroine.

This is hilarious because you actually think Marijuana is a bad drug. If a drug at all.

Marijuana is actually better then smoking. not only is it non addictive, but it is extremely relaxing, feels just.. plain... awesome, it isn't any worse on your lungs then a cigarette, AND you can grow it for MUCH cheaper then buying a pack of the little bastards. The ONLY reason that it's ACTUALLY outlawed in America, is because the government can't put taxes on the stuff, because we can grow it so damned easily. Weed is cheap, inexpensive, and a great source of relaxation.
