You're an idiot, if you're going to reply to me, why don't you help?

Well idk if it has to do with the dedicated server but usualy when I cant join servers i rebout my routor

Oh how I enjoy having my own server...

I dunno if this is worth it, but you have my full support. Unfortunately I don't have any spare money. D:

I have money, but I don't know how I could pay for stuff like this.

Also, please tell me to forget off as I am not trustable since I "stuff around in off topic posting stupid videos, memes, and references all day"

Heed that build that you posted that you might host did you host it in March/april?

Heed that build that you posted that you might host did you host it in March/april?
Probably.

If you did, that was the first server i ever joined in blockland O.o

Sure.

Being one of the last mature members from v10,

As soon as my weekly paycheck comes in, I'll gladly donate around 20$.

I'm also considering opening up sales for this iPhone app I'm making, and based on the pre-beta reviews, I'd be able to squeeze an extra weekly 30$ in there.

I have a server like that I bought in a simular fashion that I host my dedi servers on, it's not that good though.

I've looked into dedicated hosting services in the past as I was interested in such a thing. It seemed like many services (those that tailor specifically to low latency game servers) aren't interested in hosting small-time indie games like Blockland.

Your specific idea does not appeal to me, however. I'd rather not donate money to pay for awful DMs, fort wars, and a bunch of custom add_ons. A better idea would be to pay for a single physical server, and run multiple BL servers off it. All you do then is divide the cost of the server between the number of BL servers being hosted and those that donate end up paying a certain amount per month for their own personal server running whatever add_ons and game modes they like.

There are other issues too. Where would this server be located? It isn't really fair to host it in England/Europe if you want American players to participate. Also there is the issue of who has what rights/privileges over the server and its operation.

It's a cool idea, but it requires a little more thought and explanation than what has been provided thus far.

Notice that I wouldn't contribute if there was nothing in it for me as well, though.

I was actually going to host something like this except without the boxes.

It was going to have multiple themes in separate rooms which you could do fun things in. One a special TDM, another being a gameshow, and several other ideas I come up with. Mostly things I script on my own.

You could have your own room in this. :)

I would be more than willing to contribute, both financially and with content (builds, etc.)

There is nothing unusual about paying as a group for servers.

REAL game clans do this all the time. they have heavy websites, large teamspeak servers, and private game servers they have to pay for.
i paid 10 a month in dues to my old BF2 clan.
