every person i know that has red ringed or other destruction of their 360, it was because they left it running for like 48 hours.
and likely do it often.

granted its stupid for people to do that, but any decent computer can run forever without a shutdown and be just fine.
360 hardware is cheap crap.

My dad's Xbox had this issue but we fixed it. Look up a tutorial on youtube on how to open up an xbox 360 then clean the laser reader on the drive. Problem solved. You can thank me later.
