lol i wish i could find that badspot quote where he says halo and console shooters are for poor handicapped frat boys.

or something like that lol

the first ever game was a joystick connected to a tv
Actually it was on a telescope or something.  Then the first "real" video games were on pcs, I think it was.  The first console is the Magnavox Odyssey.

Grumpy, you're an elitist idiot.  "Donkey Kong isn't gaming"?  Then what is?!  It's a video game, so when you play it you're technically gaming.

I love gaming history.  It's just awesome to see how primitive old consoles really were.

Halo has among its many fans: tweens, frat boys, and poorly educated/impoverished people.  These sorts of people cannot play TF2 or L4D properly because they cannot afford or operate a gaming PC.  Sure lots of handicaps manage to play TF2 and L4D, but the barrier to entry is higher and that eliminates a certain underclass.
?

lol yup :D

consoles are quite literally, the poor man's gaming computer lol

You make little to no sense whatsoever.  How isn't Donkey Kong "gaming"?

And MW2 is one of the highest rated and best selling games to date.
Why are you guys arguing with Rave?

(S)he's proven time and time again to not know what the forget (s)he's talking about.
Oh and you are a stupid weaboo starfish.

Ooh, I'm losing the argument!  Uhh, what should I say?  Oh!  Let's say he's just a weaboo, no, an starfish!  That'll get him good!

MW2 is horrible and the general consensus among the COD community (at least the one I know personally and the people I've seen in blackops) is such.
Like they forgot everything that made MW popular.

mw2 sucks

so many glitches not patched etc. sure there was successes but IW gave up on it

first impression was great then it wore off.

I've played FPS games on both.

Seriously though.
Try to use a controller on a PC shooter. You will miss because it lacks auto-aim.
Don't try to deny this. I've played console shooters on a regular basis. Several of them. They auto aim, and have awkward controls.

I don't even see how someone could say using a keyboard and mouse is bad, unless you were playing a game that wasn't a shooter or MMORPG.
Seriously. Motion-controlled mouse or pressure-controlled stick?
I'm going with motion, because that's how people move. It's natural. It makes better use of our co-ordination. I cannot see any faults with using a mouse.

A keyboard? How can this even be remotely uncomfortable? It's gotta be the most laziest and easy to use device ever used for gaming. Especially for FPS games. 1-2 fingers for WASD, you rarely ever have to hit any of the other buttons at the same time.

The only kinds of games that I'll prefer a controller over a keyboard/mouse is action/fighting games. Like BlazBlue or Dynasty Warriors. Or old-school games. They don't feel right without a controller.

Oh and you are a stupid weaboo starfish.

Uh oh, Rave called me an starfish. I guess I'd better cry now.

Lame comebacks aside, you have yet to prove you actually have a clue about that of which you speak.

Arguing with stupid person [Rave]. -5 points.

Yeah I kinda contradicted myself. Sue me.

I kind of figured this out when I saw the ridiculous auto aim in borderlands. Not to mention the obvious that using a mouse is much more precise than a joystick
