Vindictus has been seen as a hack and slash game, and it definitely isn't the same stragetic style of mabinogi. Yet, you can still have quite a different playing style depending on your character.
Definitely in the beginning the game is a lot of hackign and slashing, but it gets better later, when you have bosses that can hurt and easily knock you back. Of course, it's still pretty easy to stay alive, but using strategy definitely helps.
I'm now at the point where counterattacking properly has big advantages (does lots more damage, and can stun the enemy.) At the later bosses, it actually can be hard to predict what their next action is, so it's more difficult.
Besides combat, I'm also really getting involved in the market right now. It's much easier to sell in Vindictus than in Mabinogi, so it's easy to get rich if you know what's to gather and sell. I'm actually going to try selling more in Mabinogi now, since I'm beginning to see how easy it is to make a profit.
Oh okay,i'll go play another goddamn nex-
*sees shop thing*
COMBAT ARMS ALL OVER AGAIN
The cash shop really isn't that necessary. The main problem would be the token system limiting you, but they've made it much nicer now. If you learn how to work with the market, you can also easily become rich, and be able to afford crimson tokens, this would make the token system irrevelant to you. Although if you're like me, you don't play enough for tokens to get in the way :P
