Author Topic: England University Protest  (Read 1421 times)

It's around 9am in England right now and me and a large group of people are off school to protest about the higher University fees in England. It's not right at all and for those of us who are actually going to go to University when we're older are going to help the older students at the protest.

Anybody else in England gonna join the cause?

Throw a fire extinguisher off a roof - that'll help.

I won't be going because it's cold outside and I'm not going to university anyway.

You should smash some windows and shout at police too, That'll get the media's attention!

No ty br0 that'll get me arrested. We let the older people do that. Getting enough presence and causing problems will get the govourments attention though and hopefully stop the rises. I ain't paying £9000 a year when i'm older to get deserved education.

Could you explain the way higher education works in England?

Because 9000 pounds is like 14000 US dollars which is pretty damn cheap in the US

I think in America your University is post high-school were as our University is post college and college is post high-school. Our universitys are for things like higher acedemic education. I.E PHDs

Not 100% sure how American university works though.

Not even a small fire? :(

Campfires in the middle of the street are good, br0.

Regardless, that's still cheap as hell here.

So you're saying its unfair that they are raising the prices to acquire a phd or masters degree, which is still a stuff ton less than what it costs in the US?

Let's take a break from numbers, and see the Economic values at work shall we?
