Basically i can build it, but i won't host it, so no-ones gonna see it. Shame.
Spare us the drama. No one cares.
You've made it clearly obvious that YOU don't care what your customers think. An attitude that a indie game developer should not have in my opinion. I know, i sell games too, and we actually listen to what people want in the games we sell and will often add it. We never wanted a savegame solution (arcade shooters simply don't have them) in Warblade, but in the end we added it. And when we don't agree with what someone wants we explain why it wouldn't work or couldn't be done. More recently we've added things to Deluxe Pocmon that users have requested. What i don't understand is why we can't have saving by id. Or an option to enable or disable client saving on a server.
Multiple saves won't work. You have to load all parts to make the whole, then it can be saved. Making it passworded is no good either. Who do i give the password to ? No-one i personally know plays blockland.
As for no-one caring, have you seen my maze, or been in it ? Have you been in my server when people have said things like "hey this is great, nice job" or more recently "oh cool, the ubermaze is coming back". I've been asked to ressurrect the uberoffice too and i got great feedback in my server for the pixel pic thing. My enjoyment comes from hosting a server that other people enjoy.
I've been a fan of blockland from the start. I've told people about it, got people interested and i know that you will be getting another sale through me showing it to a friend. I've enjoyed the mods (mostly) and watched the progression of the game. I love the retail version but for me the saving method is wrong and is the only thing i am concerned about. Thats my opinion like it or not.
