I had been maintaining a long distance friendship with this girl from Japan, she was a really close friend. I had been pen pals with her in third grade, and started skyping her recently. She was the one who sparked my interests in anime and the Japanese language and culture. She went missing during the earthquake there, and her family and I are assuming she's dead. I have a candle burning by a picture of her, with the hopes she'll be found.
