Author Topic: Buildable Vehicles  (Read 24119 times)

With all of the advancements in scripts and what not, why not try and make buildable vehicles? Just have 4 wheels, some mount points, and bricks? It should work, right? Someone should try it.

Let's ask our Magic Torque ball.......

It says......"You're kidding right?"

There you have it. Torque says no can do.

Nah, it's possible. I've made a script for it.
Here's a quick guide of how the script worked:

First, build your chasis.

Save and clear the chasis you built.
Spawn a wheels vehicle (has seats).

Load the save of your chasis.

Type /makeshapes to assemble the vehicle.

Jump into the built vehicle.

Show off your hacky script!

Truce, just one thing, can you make textures applied to the vehicle? (like the default brick textures?) So if the face in facing up, it will make bricktop, bottom will be the bottom texture and sides would be brickside. Would that be possible?

Anyway good job for being the first to try this in the modern blocklands.

When I saw this topic, and saw that Truce posted, I knew he did it.

You're kidding me right?

New rule for impossible stuff:

You're always wrong, until Truce comes along!

For buildable can you make a long wheels vehicle for a bus?

Totally wasn't staged.

No stuff. Wtf? This wasn't possible last time someone asked for this. Then Truce comes along, and proves the Torque Ball wrong again.

By the way, you are going to release your hacky script. Hacky or not, Idc. This is the stuff.

It was an honest suggestion, Drak! Really!

If those screenies are authentic, how would it work with other vehicles, such as trains or tanks or aircraft?

If those screenies are authentic, how would it work with other vehicles, such as trains or tanks or aircraft?

That being said, what keeps people from putting an entire city on wheels?

Or what keeps the build from popping up off center?

How is it that when you load your build, it's on the ground one second, and then when loaded, it's mysteriously on the wheels?

I can haz call fraud nao?

If you build a train or a tank, it would move on the wheels.
For planes I'd have to make a wings frame to build stuff on.

1) Nothing. If they feel so moved to do so then they might as well go ahead.
2) Math. It calculates the offsets and positions it based on the forwardVector.
3) It's not on the ground, it's propped up by a 1x4 brick without rendering.

Alright.

Then will you be uploading?
