All you did to WhoDa? is insult him. Go eat another Twinkie, hypocrite.
oh god i lol'd.

My number one swaying vote is this exact argument, that leads me to be more atheist.

My mother has cancer, and she is a saint. She's done nothing wrong throughout the course of her life and has worked her ass off to help provide a comfortable life and a nice place to grow up in for me and my younger brother.

So who, in their holier-than-thou, "god knows all" attitude wants to give me a theological explanation? Is it gods will? The divine plan?
I think the best explanation: stuff happens

I think the goal of all humans should be to find a place in society, and not worry about why we are here. We are here in the present, make the best of it. Do good for the world, no matter how small of a change it is.

im an atheist and i can answer the OP's question

"we are here to be 'judged' for our actions"
even though actions are a result of behavior that is simply a result of environment and composition

no i didn't read any other post other than the first
i don't want to
i don't need any more pent up aggression

isn't it funny though how most christians say that it's God's will whenever someone has cancer, even though the victim is utterly mortified by the fact he/she has cancer and usually prays to get rid of it?

yeah that's totally god's will.
torture a person by telling them their end in inevitable in 6 months.
woo.

i wont bother with this topic anymore

Exactly. It isn't gods will that my mother dies or that Timothy McVey blows up a building, and the very notion is just downright loving insulting.

so you can waste even more of your life worshiping  :cookieMonster:

pretty much

Oh ho ho. Smooooooth. Call me fat. Try to invalidate my point by humiliating me.
It actually bothers you?

:c Now I feel bad for you.

We are now talking about Atlantis.

where is it

i wanna know D:

Because God wanted to make humans.  And by testing them through life on earth, he only has the people dedicated to him up there in heaven.
isn't god omnipotent?
if so, wouldn't he be able to read minds or some stuff and if he saw some brutha chillaxing with satan he could be all "giddaforget outa here" and kick that bruthas ass outta heaven, without the earth as a middleman?

Allow me to throw another log on:

Quote from: Epicurus
“Is God willing to prevent evil, but not able?
Then he is not omnipotent.
Is he able, but not willing?
Then he is malevolent.
Is he both able and willing?
Then whence cometh evil?
Is he neither able nor willing?
Then why call him God?”

It is actually one of my favorite quotes, no Christians can explain it.

I love that quote, Epicurus is a genius.
