Im sorry to bump this, but ive tried everything to get this to work, reinstalling, using launch options, verifying game cache, etc.
Wont work at all. Ive tried emailling garry, no reply.
EDIT: Ima try reinstalling steam and deleting everything.
It could possibly be a problem with steam.
