Author Topic: How good is this graphics card for TF2?  (Read 3972 times)

Is English your second language or something?
Are you hosting TF2? If not, I have no idea what you're talking about.

No.  I am not hosting a TF2 server, I join the 24/7 turbine server.

That doesn't make any sense at all.

Well thats the best I can explain it.

He's saying that some spy killed him in slow motion.
Which is impossible.
Unless the spy was lagging, too.

I guess so..... Now that problems solved, now I need to fix my TF2 lag.

Get a less terrible computer.

You might as well just buy a whole new one because your video card might not be bottlenecking it.

Why don't you just give us your specs? we aren't wizards.

Is this even FPS lag? Or are you just on a server with a high ping? You seem to know absolutely nothing so this is incredibly possible.

Well I will try.  I don't alot about what is required but I will try:

Currently:

1) connection type.  road runner standard or turbo

2) Windows type. Windows Vista Home Basic

3) Current graphics cards.  I have no idea.

4) directx. 9.0

What I would like:

1) directx 10

2) NVIDIA physics 8.0

3) Road Runner lightning.

Oh and card slot, PCI I think.

Every server I join lags.  The turbine just lags less, I just can't go onto the battlefied, I have to stay in the vents.  Also, even offline play lags for me...

None of that is your specs dumbass.

Obviously if it's your fps and not your connection nobody gives a stuff about who your internet provider is.

Give us what your hardware is so we can judge what to do with you.

start menu -> run -> type in DXDiag

Now state what it says in Processor and the device name on display tab

Your computer sucks.

Don't rub it in...  It is the only computer my Mom can afford.  She can't even afford upgrading to road runner lighting, I think another problem is my connection, so it might not even be a video card that is required, it could be my connection speed.  Since bright house released RRL they decided to slow down the road runner lightning and turbo.

Sure.

Sys. Model:  Inspiron 530

BIOS:  Pheonex - AwardBIOS v6.00PG

Processor:  Intel(R) Pentium(R) dual CPU e2140 @ 1.6GHz  (2 CPU's), ~1.6GHz

Memory:  3060 MB RAM

Page File:  1458MB used,  4900 available

Directx version: Directx11 but with this on TF2 on my options page it says I have directx 9, why so?

You forgot to give us your video card *facepalm*

But your processor sucks balls so maybe you should upgrade it to an i7 or an i5?

And the reason it said DX9 is because Source only runs Direct X 9.5 maximum.

Ok.

Planning to give us your video card soon?
