How good is this graphics card for TF2?

Ok, I have been searching for a long time and I have not gotten a straight answer from anyone at all.  So now I am asking the forums..  This is the graphics card I found that is compatable with my computer.

What i am asking is, can this reduce lag and add at least 20 or more FPS to TF2 and let me play it in at least low to medium graphics?  If it can then I can get and it will be much appreciated if someone can accually give me and logical and thought out responce, not some stupid responce like get it and find out yourself.

I have no idea, all I know is I got mad because I was playing TF2 and the FPS meter on my desktop hit -1 FPS and stayed that way.........  People around me get lag as well.  I think I know where the graphics slot for it is but there is nothing in it.  I don't think I have a card :( I have directx 9 and the lowest version of nvidia physics.

The 8400 is slightly worse than the 7800GT which runs TF2 pretty well, so it should be fine. It's a PCI card though which means your computer probably blows (if it doesn't even have a PCI-E or, god forbid, AGP) -- your processor is probably the main bottleneck. When I upgraded to a 5870 I was still rocking a Pentium IV so stuff was weak. When I snapped in a new i7 920, it ran perfectly.

Ok.  So is it possible for me to get a 7800GT for a PCI slot?  I know my computer is crap but it is all my Mom could afford, it at least lets me play blockland and stuff so I can't complain.

What's your computer make/model? If you can figure that out, then you can search up your motherboard and figure out what sort of slots you have.

Ok it is a Dell inspiron . 530 with windows vista basic, and an intel pentium dual core.  Will that help?

So now I guess I have to find the graphics card slots.  and does PCIe mean PCI-express?!?!!

Are you hosting TF2? If not, I have no idea what you're talking about.
