Theres plenty to look forward to depending on where you look. There are still good shows (I think of a particular anime,) and music being produced. Now you might not find those in the mainstream media channels, but they are out there if you look.

Looking at where technology might be in several decades also makes me excited, I'm particularly interested in Augmented Reality implementations. Although the current AR applications are pretty gimmicky, there are companies working on the hardware and software to bring us away from that.

Yea of course there are plenty of things that suck, but we're far away from "everything" sucking.

After reading through the thread it seems all of you have taken what I've said a little too specifically.

By saying "everything" I'm using it quite generally. Looking at music as a whole, yeah, music sucks nowadays. It is true however, that bands like Dream Theater and Pavor are still around and are extremely heartfelt and full of talent. Yes technology is getting extremely advanced and useful, but then there's the massive torrent of useless piece of stuff devices aimed at the non-informed and the lazy. Regardless, it is undeniable that for a while now, society and society's entertainment choices have gotten worse and worse.

Also, those bitching about my comment about metal; you guys have a wonderful knack for leaving out small details. I said metal is "one of the most artistic genres" I did NOT say that metal is the most artistic genre you dipstuffs.

There is still good music, but I agree. And I am 12 years old. A lot of companies have been making stuff products when they used to build loving tanks. My mom bought me this dell, and it's stuff. Our old dell runs like stuff but it is almost 6 years old! I almost got killed once because the siren near my house was built so badly by FS that it decided not to sound!
