I don't give kudos to the people who destroys something I worked so hard on.  Simple scenario;

A young boy builds a tall sand castle that took him a lot of time and effort on the beach, while a bunch of idiotic teens plan to destroy it.

Except those idiotic teens have been given a message from god himself to demolish your accursed creation.

That you're over simplifying things.
What those people who destroyed the original twin towers did was wrong, but in their defense, they did not do it out of greed, the did it out of selflessness, the same could almost be said for Riddler, and plenty of other people who just wanted to help their religion or country, but didn't have the best ways of achieving their goals.

In reality that whole 9/11 thing wasn't the end of the world, or nearly as much the america shattering event people think it was.
New fake tower is nice though.

It isn't nearly as under important as everyone says it is either.

So yeah, I don't really find 9/11 all that important of an event.
Sure people died, and I feel sorry for them, but they aren't hero's, because they didn't actually do anything heroic.
