Author Topic: What IS Religion?  (Read 2908 times)

Not this stuff again...

Does it look like a religion war?

No, now shut your face

That's pretty low based on the amount of people that actually are Christians.
You have to remember that it's based on the US, and the USA is entirely comprised of multiple ethnic backgrounds from the rest of the world.
Not everyone who populated the land came from a christian european country.
There are a fair amount of Eastern civilisations that have decendants in the US. They wouldn't necesarilly be Christians.
And I'd imagine this is including all sects of Christianity.

And then, not to mention the other main religions in the world;
Hinduism, Islam, Judaism, Sikkhism and Buddhism.
They'd make up a noticeable amount of the US as well.

Okay so I believe in billyism

A kid called billy created the universe with his junior science lab kit

No god, just a little ten year old kid who was bored.

o:
Where'd billy come from?
And what's his plan for us?

So......what are you trying to say?

Do I really need to explain?

So......what are you trying to say?
It's saying that almost every person who gets imprisoned in the US is religious or belonging to a religion.
Only 0.2% of all people in US prisons are Atheists, therefore, religion causes most crimes and Atheists are better people.

Do I really need to explain?
That's like saying the majority of white people are child enthusiasts, murderers, and rapists. Sure people have done, and will continue to do, stupid things because of religion. But all of the religious prisoners didn't commit a crime because of religion. Some of them, maybe, but not all.

My church is just using Christianity as a way to get money.

Thats the loving point

No it's not. And that's not what the picture is saying.

Christians make up a large portion of the prison population, but it makes sense cause they make up a large portion of the population in general. But Atheists make up an extremely small percent of the prison population. You would think it's cause Atheists make up an extremely small percentage of the general population, but they don't. Ten percent is not extremely small.

Facts are facts, but it's entirely up to the individual to decide what to make of those facts.
