It's called your side of the connection.
That made no sense.

Server (100 Mbps) <-----> You (Internet connection that could cause a worse ping)

How do you get 20 ping? I'm ~93 miles away and usually get anywhere between 30 and 40.
Geographic distance isn't a complete indicator of ping time. Your traffic might be hauled away from St. Louis, it doesn't go directly there. You get a poor ping because the network is cheap and your packets won't take the most direct route from your ISP.

Bandwidth doesn't have much to do with round-trip ping time, no point replying to a thread if you don't know what you're talking about.

At what point did I say that bandwidth has any control over ping? I was just stating the data I knew about the server's connection.

When you mentioned the server's port speed lol, you gonna deny you did that now?

Mentioning =/= Saying it has effect

Honestly, how can you know what my intentions were? You can't. You aren't me. Would you rather have me say "Server (Server connection) <-----> You (Internet connection that would cause a worse ping)"? The only solid data I know about the server's connection is that is a ~100 mbps connection.

Getting so defensive, it's ok to admit you're wrong dw, no one will think any less of you.
