What does it matter if the lemonade, itself, is good?
The problem is though, it isn't any good. Everyone has got too used to this being the only service so it's regarded as good. Many people here live out their parents' pockets so they don't really understand the value of money, but for $6 a month you should definitely expect more.

e.g.

sloppy...

Funny how you, of all people, are preaching about the value of money. :cookieMonster:

As a full time working adult I'd say I have a better understanding of the value of money than the majority of people here.

I have a good understanding of the value of money too.
$5 = $5

Definitely couldn't have expected any response but that, well done!

Pingdom in a nutshell: OH stuff ONE PACKET DIDN'T MAKE IT, forget THE HOST MUST BE DOWN, LET'S NOT SEND ANOTHER PACKET TO CONFIRM.

This is how Pingdom works, it sends out a ping packet once per minute but never any more. They should be ashamed for such stuffty service.

Get serious with uptime monitoring or get lost.

That's not how I have it configured, but thanks for your concern.

I guess my study of Pingdom pings (specifically of the monitoring you were doing) somehow mismatched the monitoring you were doing. :cookieMonster:

Maybe the free account is limited like that, not sure, it's definitely not how my checks work though..

What Pingdom considers to be a service disruption is not the same as what it considers to be a service outage, perhaps your study wasn't thorough enough on the specifics? Besides, the test server of my provider has had 100% uptime in the same period, it can't all be Pingdom's fault, can it?

Not how your check works? Oh please, it was your checks I was investigating. They work minute-by-minute.

Funny how no one is complaining about issues. You're free to leave this thread now.

This stuff in big nutshell:

Kalphiter starts dedi server hosting service.
People likes
Rub wants to make his own service
People likes

-6 months passes-

Rub uses all his time to mock Kalphiter's service
Ephialtes sides Rub in this, because he wants finally win Kalphiter in something
Rub's deadline gone = uses even more time to prove his service going to be uber

Really, I myself don't give a forget about server uptimes. I have used Kalphiter's server over half a year for now, and no any complications.

Peace.

why do we need 100% uptime

i would hope my service doesn't give 100% uptime
i wouldn't trust it at all

The biggest hosting companies in the world offer 100% uptime with an SLA, you'd be handicapped not to trust that lol.

Probably that this service is basically on par with a lemonade stall run by children in terms of functionality and complexity I guess.

Um, I still don't understand your "point." You're saying what you think, but what's the point of saying it?
