Just btw there have been some strong lag spikes going on my server for the last two minutes, some lasting a few seconds. Something is up.

Sounds like hardware or localized network issues in NZ. Perhaps you should install or write some more comprehensive monitoring so you can be more proactive Kalph? Shoot me a PM if you want some suggestions.

I've decided against doing a partial job by upgrading with only a few new features this week. It looks like I'll co-ordinate the full panel upgrade with the 2-year anniversary "special". The entire job should be done between Christmas and New Years', if not earlier.
