Author Topic: Crysis, maxed out...  (Read 1649 times)

My recommended settings are at high and I could probably play it there, but I'm pretty finnicky w/ framerates, especially because it was around 20 :\

So I have a mix of high and medium settings with 4x AA and get around 35, which is playable for me.

GTX260, 4GB of RAM.

I want to SLI that card so damn bad.
:D
But I have only 3GBs of RAM and a Dual Core 3.0ghz processor.

Core i7 920 @ 3.5Ghz
ATI Radeon HD 5970

I get around 60-65 FPS on completely maxed settings for Crysis.  Sometimes, during nukes and such, it drops down to around 50 or so, but it mostly stays up there.

My friend bought a brand new alienware with dual GTX260s and can't run it fully maxed out without getting low framerates (20FPS and under)

Really shows you what you're actually getting with a four grand alienware.

Crysis isn't that hard of a game to run on High, AA is what puts stress on your system.

8xAA for me, thank you very much.

at 1980x you don't need no stinkin AA.
Although 2x sharpens it up a tiny bit further is pretty unnoticable.

I run at 1600x1200.  Darn kiddies and their newfangled widescreen monitors!

GTX 460
Ah, I plan on getting one.  Also I got it maxed out, at the cost of many frames.

With 100% maxed for me, it's about 30-40. If I put shadows to "high" and not "very high" and I turn off AA, I get like 80 FPS.

I don't own it so I don't know :c

I can easily run Crysis over 60fps on max with my new computer parts I got for Christmas. I may drop down to 50 once and a while but that's pretty much it.

Even highest AA?  What GPU do you have?  I run Crysis at the high setting with 4x AA with a GTS 250.

I haven't tried mine yet, I have a GT 240 but only 2.6 GHz (dual core)...try 16xQ MSAA (the hell do all these letters mean?!)

Lol 460GTX is pretty popular and cheap, eh?

I ordered mine a few days ago, should be here shortly. In the meanwhile, these are my specs without new graphics card-

:P Not the best, but good
