Author Topic: Responsive Body Part Playertype  (Read 2154 times)

We all know that its possible to check if a projectile hits a certain part of your player. How else would headshot guns work?

What I'm asking for is a playertype, that all pieces of the body are damageable with effects.
(Shot in the legs: Speed Decrease)
(Shot in the hand with your weapon: May drop weapon)
(Shot in the other hand: Reload speed decrease)
(Shot in the head: Extra Damage, and blurs vision)
(Anywhere else would be normal damage)
Not to mention, with a display on your screen that shows the condition of your body parts in percentages.

If a body part becomes fully degraded, say a leg, you can no longer move, or a exponential decrease in efficiency.

All damage would be the same to your player when shot in the Torso/Pants, halved when shot in the Arms/Legs, and doubled when shot in the head.

The idea came from Fallout.

Hmm, scriptwise this could be somewhat possible.
I think about a combination of the survivor playertype of Rotondo + zombies of ZAPT (when headshot, head dissapears) and some more additions.

However, very specific things like one hand could be forming problems...

I also have a doubtful outlook in the "blurs vision" part...

A shot in the pants should make you chat in all caps.

Also I think being shot in the chest should make you hear a faint heartbeat. Like your heart is beating faster cause of blood lose from your chest or somethin.

Maybe if a leg is taken of then the player kind of 'limps' and walks instead of running.

What would limping be? Like making the player model moving up and down slightly as it walks? Sounds good.

Do want.
