You were on the WoW topic like less than a month ago if I recall saying how you just finally got 70 or something and it took you 3 years. And it isn't a far stretch when you make a post that only says "You are paying $15 a month to grind." You are implying I am wasting money and could not possibly enjoy it.

I would just like to point out a few things.

1. It is kind of odd of Skip to even appear in a topic to tell us all this game is bad because it is a genre he has no taste in, and would prefer if the game company completely redid the game to fit a genre more to his liking.

2. Tails and Bisjac should not even have an opinion of the game as they haven't played it passed level 10-15 and it was in a restricted beta made solely to test it. You can feel free to come in and say "I only played it a bit and couldn't get into it so I will not be buying it" but to come in and say "It is a horrible game and is a WoW clone" is just idiotic. I can understand tails calling it a WoW clone because WoW is probably the only P2P game he has a decent amount of knowledge in, but a hardcore MMOer like Bisjac should know better.

3. This game was built by the makers of Everquest 1 and is proud and boasts to be a game for people who loved Everquest 1. Everquest 1 was almost 100% grind, 100% hard, 100% frustration, and people couldn't get enough of it. It is targetted at old-school MMOers.

Please tell me whose starfish you're pulling this out of.
I said it's possible for someone (i.e. NOT NECESSARILY BLIZZARD) to make an MMORPG with "my liking," and it has been done before, just not very well.

That's a horrible example to compare it to, when you walk into a shop you can see all of it's content at first glance. I will offer a better example, if you had to review WoW based solely off the first 6 levels, having never played any more of it, doing the quest to kill 10 boars and then kill 6 scorpions and then kill 10 imps, and then kill an orc, how awesome would you rate it?

You must live near some tiny shops.

Levels 1-15 have always been the worse for me due to lack of dungeon finder
But the newer content is pretty good at these levels, and the world is quite "alive"
Also why off the first 6 levels? Why not 7? I always play a mmo to level 10 before making a decision.
Even with the old world content i've always found wow oddly compelling.
Also first time i played was the blood elf area, which i did by myself untill level 9 when a friend joined me. It was fun.

You've proven that some people (somehow) like grinding in WoW. What else are you trying to prove here?

i don't play an mmo till levels. i pay it roughly 6-10 hours or so before i decide.
it shouldn't take any game on earth longer then that to gain interest, regardless of content.

i basically found nothing new and unique in this time. thus not worth my money.
i dont know really if this game is good or bad. i just had seen it all before. and when i look for an mmo i like, i look for one im willing to spend stuffloads of hours on. i demand new content.
