The Great Burial was a natural disaster where the entire planet was covered thick by a galaxy consuming duststorm

Some quick black and white thumbnails

How do you guys shade? i always rub the GRAPHITE and use an eraser to create light spots.

generally with a beach umbrella or a baseball cap

I just use my pencil. I don't smudge anything because then it makes the whole drawing look blurry as hell.

yeah i should start doing that, i thought graphite would make better sunscreen than lead.

granite is what you make tiles out of.
that stuff absorbs a load of heat in the sun too so rubbing it on yourself, ouch

When I traditional I just scribble very light lines in the spot I want to shade and smudge it with my finger
If I need it lighter just erase and smudge finger again

In digital I just add a new layer and set opacity to 20% and just use black airbrush and eraser in combination, both set at 90% density
That's just for the cartoon ones, the lineless ones I've been doing recently it's too hard to explain

Oh and the only pencils I use are standard no.2 I don't use artist pencils lel

i don't like smudging things with my finger

because then I get it on my fingers and in spots all over the paper

Yeah, you're better off using a twisted piece of paper or tissue.
