Oh lord, "Old Carl" has the cloth of the eyepatch stuck to only the middle of his eye. Jesus christ doesn't that hurt.

Stop hating on my cheez-its. Old Carl is how i used to draw him, and he's wearing glasses behind it, anyways. Edit : I also notice you're trying to get realization out of a made up cartoon.
