Extraterrestrial Cat is Extraterrestrial

Got my hands on a Burne Hogarth book today and felt compelled to start a little sketch.

It goes without saying that once I had the torso down I began to disregard a lot of principles as I did the limbs and neck... Oh well, practice practice practice!

I've got four more books awaiting arrival; I'll be neck-deep in my drawings soon. :P

Tophius, there's an extent to how much frame-based anatomy you should study.  Sooner or later, it'll start to cripple your view on how things relating to attire fit into the picture.

I'm so "obsessed" with getting human structure and such almost perfect that, regretfully, I neglect to tackle features like loose drapery and clothing as I really can't stand these things occluding potential human forms, haha. I guess I've known this for a while but it's always been just a passive thought. I'll be sure to heed your advice though, thanks for the input.
