Iirc you still you sai correct Lizzy? What brushes do you use? I have the worst trouble with hair and skin with the starter brushes.
Well, I only use one tool, the airbrush, but I changed the settings slightly, so it's less fuzzy and looks more like a brush without the blending and such. I never use blending tools, I just build up the shading with brush with each stroke by pressing down lightly with my pen. If you'd like, I can give you the settings for the brush I use;

But if it's the shading process that stumps you, the shading color isn't just darker than the base color but sometimes it's more saturated and sometimes the hue is changed. It's hard to explain.

But basically, that's how I shade skin.

I can show you how I do hair if you'd like.

i drew that at 2am it's fine

the arms really bug me a lot but yeah here it is (stuffty picture bc i only had my phone camera with me and i can't be assed to get a better picture)
i kind of wanted to experiment with clothing folds and a bit of perspective (by that i mean just the head) since i never really do them and i ended up with this? i guess i just doodle weird stuff when i'm tired

i like it, it's really... artistic??

She did well on the hands. I still kind of have trouble with the hands.

I need to practice more.

i actually just realized that when i drew the hands i thought of the fingers backwards except the thumbs oops
