To disable the chat:
       * Start the game
       * Click "options"
       * Select the "Advanced" tab
       * Scroll down until you see the value for "Chat line time (Milliseconds)" under Gui Options
       * Set this value to 0
       * Click "Done"

How about:
  - A command to change the color of names in the chat.
  - A command to disable all names being capitalized.
  - A command to change the font.
  - A toggle for BL_IDs in chat.
  - A toggle for a "chat sound".

Excellent.  I have it so SuperAdmins are able to manually color people's names, and I'm not too sure about the sound, but these are all nice ideas.

Probably, but what are you suggesting?  I am not going to just copy and paste the entire mod into my own, and my addon will conflict with many other chatmods.  It isn't too hard to do the coloring, but I think the sounds might be annoying

Someone told me that a little before I released.  I saw it in the fail bin though, at his own request.  Anyway, I drew alot of the icons myself (the poorly drawn ones).  However, his was failed for interfering with the chat filter, which I thought mine would do, but Ephialtes told me not to worry, because it is client sided.

So set your resolution higher than 640x480. :P

only 16 x 16 pixel bitmaps can be used in the chat, for some reason I have no clue about.

Since when? All the CI's I make are at least 22x22. They work fine.
