so will get loads of mixed ore till we dig further in that direction.

it was mostly iron till we hit (apparently) a certain spot in the mine, still not sure what side we got that ore from.

how do i get to a village

you either build one, or join one with players in it.
they are pretty much everywhere, travel in any direction for at least 5 minutes and you should find one. careful though, not all players are happy to greet you.

we paved ours
took about 14 boulders and 3 days.
Twas worth it tough.
And our was copper first.
