That is not true when comparing 4 cores to 6 cores

Bah. If you want 6-cores, you may as well go with it. It'll last you longer than 4 cores.

Yeah, My mother has an AMD processor and her laptop runs great....

My friend has an AMD processor for his computer and has amazing speed. I have a lot of trouble with my Intel processor. Well, I have to go. I'll chit-chat more about this tomorrow.

If you're spending 175 or less on a processor go AMD.

Any more and go Intel.

No doubt about it. End of story. Period.

I'll stick to the 6 core :3

2x3GHz = 1x6GhZ

Back in MY day, we only had single-cores!

Damned kids and their newfangled "six-core" technologies!

In all seriousness, if you can, go for the six-core processor. stick with the Core i7.

All of the senseless logic makes no sense. Amd's sixcore is nothing compared to intels quad. Halo knows absolutely nothing, stop listening to him. The six-core will not last you longer. Only a handful have USB3 and SATA 6gb/s. Both are common features on the p65 chipset. Which I might add, is quite a bit better. Kalphiter's logic is completely incorrect. I would assume that it was a joke. Amd is in noway better for gaming. It's actually worse. Your mom's Amd processor is nothing like the one that would go into a desktop computer. They aren't even relevant.

If you can't figure this out for yourself you probably shouldn't be building computers.

And Halo, what the hell are you smoking? None of your advice has been correct. What kind of idiot would get the 965 or 970? You would have to be mentally handicapped to chose either. The 945 has the same exact performance. The Black Edition is supposed to make overclockers buy it for it's unlocked multiplier. Which is useless even to overclockers because you can't really benefit from it. And if someone was going to overclock they would choose intel over Amd anyways. You know why? Because Intel is generally better.

I am aware that they are different. I just was useing an example that AMD runs good. compared to my current set up.

Neither, mow a lawn for the extra 10 bucks and get this

It will run better, last longer, give better performance, use less power, over do this in gaming as well than anything AMD can offer.

This is the first geek bringin in post ever FINALLY I AM WELCOMED
