Author Topic: How to calm OCD?  (Read 10093 times)

A disorder is not a curable thing. Maintainable yes, curable no.

Thats.... What I said.

Prozac. Lithium. I'm sure one of those two can help with ocd.

You said it can't be cured implying some disorders could be.

Oh, the extent people will go to...

Meh, I dislike non-symmetry. I also hate it when my math book's solution for a fraction is one part short of a whole number.

What I'd say for this is meditate and block out whatever annoys you. That, or expose yourself to it more often and you'll eventually get over it.

OCD sounds like aspergers...

You said it can't be cured implying some disorders could be.

No I said it can't be cured replying to the person that said Disorders are not the same as diseases, because OCD is a disorder not a disease.

I developed pretty bad OCD when I was younger for about two years. I eventually grew out of it though just by trying really hard to resist the compulsion, it took a long time though and was very difficult. I'd recommend seeing a therapist theres plenty of non-medicinal options you can try I'm sure, it probably would have saved me a lot of stress :P

And DRUGS.
