I would agree as well. You wouldn't want to spend more than $1000 if this is your first time. Judging by your responses, I personally would advise you to not build one.
Although it is not hard, screwing up would present a large penalty.
And Black Ops is not a demanding game. You could run that easily on an $800 computer. Again, I wouldn't advise you to do that. Although this statement is somewhat broad, if you need to ask someone for a list of compatible parts, you shouldn't be building computers.
Also, the i7 tictac posted would be silly if you intend to game. For $200 you can get the i5-2400. They boast the same performance. I wouldn't recommend 4gb nowadays considering how cheap 8gb is. 4gb is becoming mainstream now too.
And not to be mean, Jorici, but if you honestly don't know what you're talking about don't recommend anything...
