Still have to pay for shipping of course. Though getting sent a CD is kind of pointless when you can make your own.
They sent the CDs free of charge to me. :o

forget this i am installing wubi.

UBUNTU HERE I COME AGAIN.
Installing via Wubi tends to cause loads of things to break in Ubuntu

I wouldn't advise it.

This. Just shrink your current partition and make a new partition, install Ubuntu on that

Thanks to you I'm getting this and will install it.

So I just downloaded and installed 10.4 netbook edition and it looks way different. It doesn't have that stuffty bar on the left side wherever the forget you go. Do like.
I'm still having problems with installing stuff. Probably because everything is on a 2gb usb flashdrive?

What happens to my Windows 7 if I install it?  :cookieMonster:

Nothing? If you install it side by side your Windows 7 won't change.

I'm going to try running a Blockland server right now through Wine on this laptop.

This is why. If you want to install stuff, install it to a partition or Wubi it. Don't install stuff on the thumb drive, you'll get errors

My blockland server is now up. If anyone wants to, they can join, it's "MackTheHunter's Ubuntu-Running Freebuild"

Ohhh
this was how my mind saw it;

Windows 7 = OS
Ubuntu = OS

I forgot you could have 2  :cookieMonster:

Can I do this on a mac?

Yes use THIS it's a free software that allows you to run basically any .ISO operating system. It works for PC's as well.

BL Server is up. Read above post.

Not only did I get it, I got it in german.

Mint is apparently fourth most used behind Windows MAC and ubuntu.
