My grandma has a Ubuntu hat and wears it all the time, although I don't think she knows what it is.

I'm guessing she got it from my uncle since he's a big fan of Linux.

Me neither. I use it off of a USB drive.
Simply don't change it. Follow these instructions, and you should be able to use it easily.
