Are they going to kill of the DS because of the 3DS?

I'm almost positive that the 3DS uses different cartridges, so I don't think they will release any new DS games once it is released. I don't think the 3DS plays DS games though so you should probably keep it.

no the 3DS can play normal DS games,look it up on nintendo's site.

I respect Sony more than any other company because once they switch to new consoles, they still produce the old ones until they are too old.

Hopefully Nintendo understands this.

those warnings are just to cover nintendo's asses, just like the messages that say you should take a break every hour which no one listens to

I do believe hearing from a friend that the 3DS will have backwards compatibility to support DS games.
