Author Topic: I just remembered that the Wii's got a built in message system.  (Read 817 times)

thus we can easily contact people for broing time online in games like monster hunter, though most games use seperate codes within themselves.
thus, post your pertinent IDs and codes here.
myself:
Wii Friend Code: 8885 7503 7746 2727
Capcom ID: 67GRKA

I want to kill the man who thought "friend codes" were a good idea.

Its not like there are already programs that exist like skype or steam that allow you to message anyone.

Nope. Only the Wii has the ability to send messages over the internet.

But it's just like writing your friend's address on a envelope!

...

Nintendo there's a reason we invented Email addresses/Usernames

i almost always use my wii more than my personal computer, so whoop.

You guys know you can add email address's right? So for the people who don't have an email address this can be pretty handy. (I have one, I'm talking about the kids and other people.')

Also, if you think friend codes are stupid please forget off. This is a family console. Kids over three are supposed to be able to play it. With names anyone can just randomly add a name and then the kid could accept it not knowing why he/she shouldn't. Then the older guy who just added a random name sends them researchographic images, thus scaring the child for life. (Well, maybe not that long, but you get the point.)

With friend codes, it is possible to guess a friend code, but the chances of them guessing right are much lower than with a name.

I only use my Wii for Battalion Wars as of the moment. The Wii is really only local multiplayer, not online social interaction

I use my wii for madworld and that's about it.

Fortunately, the 3DS has one consistent code and I think it's shorter. :>
