Author Topic: That damn S symbol.  (Read 19767 times)

Yes, this.

I seriously have no loving idea why so many kids draw this.

I saw my little brother come home, and he had a sheet full of these drawn on them.

Apparently its the logo for a company called Stussy, but I can't find any real concrete proof that it is.

It also seems that everyone knows about this, and seems to be very common real life meme.

Does anyone have any idea of the true origins of this logo and why it is so appealing to kids?

because kids are unoriginal these days

I used to draw those a lot when I was around 10 years old. I have no loving idea what their appeal is.

I drew those back in like 5th grade. That's been around a loooooooong time.

They're like graffiti in my school. But then on the bleachers in athletics, there is sharpie style research everywhere.

Yesterday is a Looooooong time ago?

Edit: STOP POSTING

Cus it looks kewl and is esey to draw.

I originally thought it had something to do with superman. I used to draw them a lot in the third grade, I sometimes occasionally find myself doodling one of these things down in the margins.

looks infinitesimally boring

Stussy or whatever it's called is brainwashing us all. The first step is to make us love its logo, so when we see it we buy every article of clothing in a 500 foot radius.

The thing is, its just that every single damn kid knows about it without any real form of media talking about it.

Wtf? You changed the brackets in the quotes to...the other kind of brackets? What crack are you on? Can you not see the image in the OP correctly tagged?

I draw/write names, words, or other stuff in graffiti type text but it just angers me when people think they can do graffiti when they only can do this dumb "S" symbol

Also the fact that it has been drawn since the 80's, and is an international thing also makes me wonder.
