loving HELL GUYS, CHOOSE RETAIL

the stock market crashhhhh

With the stock market crash, we wouldn't want San Ramon to be depending on the stocks. If the whole city were to go into a Depression, that'd just bum everything out.

It looks like schooling will win. :c

But as I said before, consider, education in this time period is not that great. Most teachers are educated only enough to 'teach' recollection and recitation, many students only stay in school for a short while before they go to work because trades are stressed upon. Especially considering the crash, many students may drop out to pursue work in order to help their families.

Then again, maybe we can find good teachers to spread radical ways to teach. Maybe the town will make an educational system that will fund for age-separated levels and allow people to learn comprehension skills. But that is quite a gamble. :s

You can vote for what ever you like. c:

I'm just trying to ask everyone to consider what they vote for. This is a difficult decision, especially considering Lordy enables us all to be soothsayers. :o

Whatever, i am with mage c:.

I think schools is the best choice, of course the first 10 or so years the teachers wouldn't be that smart because they didn't go to school, unless they lived somewhere else and went to school there then that would be fine and it would increase the population a little and who wants dumb people living in your town.

So, overall I think school is the best choice.

Update Fourteen: February 1907

The school has been a big success. A few nuns and some specialized professionals were asked to come and teach the children at the new school building. It is quite nice and large, it can hold 500 students and contains a nice open play area in front.

Many people from Northern California have come to live in town. This boom caused by the earthquake has caused a large (the largest so far) area of homes to be constructed. Even these won't be enough.

With this boom comes the need for more food, more farms.

The Proposals

As stated, we need more housing and farms. So today's proposal will deal with these issues. As we did before when we had two proposals at once, the option I list first in the poll will be the first stated. So when I say "Housing and Farms", followed by "Orange and Blue", the Orange corresponds to the Housing; the Blue to the Farms.

Farms Options:

Housing Options:

You have a day for casting your votes.

blue for farms, orange for housing i guess.

Housing - Farms
Yellow    - Blue

Yellow housing is near the other homes, and has a bit more space.
Blue farms are close to the other farms and not too close to the city.

HOW DO WE SOLVE OUR STOCK MARKET CRASH?

INVENT A loving NEW ONE!

Purple and Blue

Purple adds on another residencial area to the existing city, enabling the population to move in near the shops and, more importantly, the school (Which I'm glad to see worked out well. C:). Purple also is one of the larger options and won't really intrude on existing sections. It also won't require much to level the terrain or build on a slope, since it is mostly flat lands; lumber is also avaliable from this area.

Blue would be a good choice as well since, despite its unflat terrain, it provides a large space already near current farms There is also a direct train connection to it, allowing for workers to make it there easily. :D
