Author Topic: Taking An AP Class Next Year  (Read 2220 times)

I'm taking chemistry next year. Which tecnically is a AP class at my school. Chem is harder than Bio, but all the smart people go to Bio. I think Bio is for cigarettes. stuff  I don't give 2 stuffs about compared to the basics of science, elements and chemical reactions. We do some legitament stuff in Chem. Labs that we change the color of pennies using certain chemicals, making a solution crystalize to the magnate as you drag it over the glass about 2 inches from the solution. stuffs dope.
bio is freshman year, l2school?

Magnet schools aren't any more special, everything isn't AP, in fact, I think it's EXACTLY the same as public as far as difficulty goes.

(I was once in a magnet school, nothing special really)

Not in my opinion. Based off friends who go to other schools my school seems to be more academic, we also get career classes that teaches us real world skills like game development, web design, culinary, engineering, etc.

loving magnet sc-

Eh, forget it.

Doesnt sound much different from my Regular Highschool

Well I suppose we're just better funded then because we just recently got Adobe CS5, we have programs like Final Cut and Maya on every computer that costs like thousands of dollars for one license and other cool software.

If you spend that much time on homework, you're ridiculous.
I take AP classes and do Track after school, I dont even have 3 hours of homework. I get straight A's too.

Your school is starting to sound like a vocational school

I'm taking AP American History next year. I love history. I love the twentieth century.

It doesn't cost $1000 a license for schools, then on top of that if you buy in bulk, the cost is reduced even more so.

I was able to register for my sophomore classes as well for next year:
Pre-AP English
Honors Biology
Honors Algrebra II
AP World History
CAD
Spanish II

I'm going to have a very interesting year.

By the way, straight A's for the first semester of highschool, Woot!
4.1 GPA weighted and a good ol' 4.0 GPA non-weighted.

I've been in 2 AP classes so far. First was AP European History. Huge mistake.
forget AP EURO.

I've taken Ap government and Computer science, and i'm taking ap euro, calc ab, economics micro and macro, and ap chemistry.

Also, what's IB? I've never heard of it, and I'm sure my school doesn't have it.

The International Baccalaureate Programme

Holy stuff I'm taking that same class next year.
Keo we be soph buddies? ;3

I'm disecting frogs in life science. Its no fetal pig (suck a richard) but its still disecting.
;)

I took AP history in highschool. For what little of it I suffered through, I can say with confidence that it was the most painful class I've ever taken. The text, "American Pageant", is awful. My university textbooks aren't anywhere near as bad as that abomination.
