This was the end of Chapter 5:

Tom! I hadn't seen him since I was brought here through Dr. Cyan's machine. I focused again and answered. "What about Tom? What happened?!"

    "He's dead."

    I stood there. Not a sound. Even the voices in the background of the call seemed to go silent.

    "We need you! Please hurry!"

    I didn't answer. I hung up and dropped the phone. It hit the floor and the battery broke out of the back. I didn't even stop to think. I just started running. I ran down the hall as fast as I could. I didn't even care how tired I was or where to go. I just knew I had to get to Tom. It was him. The hooded man. This was what he was talking about! And there wasn't anything I could do about it... No! I won't believe him.

Do you think the hooded guy would just waltz right in and kill him? No traces and nothing broken. Or would it be more effective to devastate the whole building along with him... Spoilers.

Also, saying that you saw it in sprite form gave me an idea:
