When I get around to it, I'll upload last semester's Demo Reel and some stuff I did this semester in TV productions.

The thing that pisses me off about graphic design is that I can never afford the software to do the work, therefore I can't start learning now.

Have you looked at student pricing for Adobe software? It's significantly cheaper than the normal product. Photoshop CS5, for instance, is normally $700 for the normal version and $1000 for the extended version; however, at student pricing, the extended version is $200. I personally have the Production Premium CS5 package, which is normally $1700, but which I bought for only $500 with student pricing.

I have looked into student pricing but I still can't afford it, I can't really get a job either, even if I did between that job and all my homework for advanced classes next year I wouldn't have time to use it...

I'm taking a graphic design/video game design class right now.

Thanks for making my work look like stuff. :C

Then again I've only been using vertex programs like Adobe Illustrator. We're getting into Photoshop now.

Would it be possible to make any of the pics I see with GIMP?

Or do I need to get a job and save a forgetton of money up to get the CS5 master edtion?

My mom is a graphic artist and its something I'm definitely considering going into when I'm out school

What is that song.

It might be possible, however I can't be completely sure because I don't use GIMP. Also, I only use Photoshop, Illustrator, and After Effects for my graphic design/animation (for now, at least), so there's no need to get the CS5 Master Collection. Additionally, as I've said in the second post on this page, student pricing for Adobe software is greatly reduced from the normal price; I bought the CS5 Production Premium, which is more than I need right now, for the student price of $500, the normal price is $1700.
