Author Topic: The Zeitgeist Movement  (Read 10984 times)

How are you going to manufacture more land? Populations will only keep going up most likely, unless you integrate mass abortions which many people will disagree with. More people means you need more land, regardless of how many actual resources you have. Even with artificial islands, the earth only has such a limited surface area.
To Mars!

"Selling your stock and getting rid of your bank account. First off if everyone got rid of their stocks and nobody was allowed to buy stocks, that would basically eliminate capitalism. While I understand Zeitgiest is a move towards socialism, and I do like some points in socialism, total socialism is not what this country needs. We're a mixed economy between capitalism and socialism."
For yet another time, Zeitgeist is not socialism. The Zeitgeist movement is not suggesting that you sell all of your stocks and get rid of your bank account, but that you avoid storing your money in and especially getting a loan from the group of banks known as the fed cartel.

"Your age has a lot to do with this discussion. Have you even been out to the world? Experienced what normal people experience?
I'm 18, I've taken classes on Micro and Macro Economics in high school, taken courses on business, I understand free-trade, socialism, the invisible hand, traditional economies, mixed economies, command style economies, taken classes on Government, local and nation-wide. And I've been accepted to a college where my major is Economics with a dual-major in political science. [/superioritycomplex]"

So you're a little over two years from where I am now - congratulations? My age does not make my opinion invalid, and your age doesn't make your opinion valid. This little paragraph about how awesome you think you are goes nowhere towards showing how you've been "out to the world", and I can assure you that I have "experienced what normal people experience".

"And I've watched Addendum, Stoned, drunk, and sober and it still don't loving make sense."
I apologize if you were not able to comprehend Addendum, but I doubt with the level of intelligence you claimed to have above that you honestly didn't understand it.
Addendum has many quotes on that notion, and aims to fix that problem. How would Zeitgeist not successfully eliminate the power of the banks?

Zeitgeist wants you to sell your stocks from your peer in the first topic which I explained earlier if you have read

Quote
...
5. Expose the Fed cartel. Stop supporting the banks. If you have an account, get rid of it, if you own stock, sell it etc.
The banks are not owned by the government. this is a joke, banks are designed to protect our money. its a business
...

And I wouldn't have told you how awesome I am if you consider to sound like a douchebag over posts, you're not mature. But apparently you're an expert so I apologize

When I watched Addendum I was deeply disturbed by it, I could feel my blood pressure raise. Without a doubt, something is very wrong with society.

You and every other angsty teenager who read the first few pages of the communist manifesto.

Again you sound like a douchebag.
Addendum was a complete waste of time, I'd rather watch the Obama Deception 10 times over.

"If you're simply going to post something along the lines of tl;dr or not bother to take the time to understand the true ideals behind this movement, do not bother posting."
Your post is full of perceived implications, assumptions, and misinformation. Watch Addendum.

1. No, it doesn't. Again I tell you, the Zeitgeist movement only encourages avoidance of the fed cartel banks.
2. I have no idea what you're trying to say here, please rephrase. However, I am not claiming to be an expert of anything.
3. A: This is not communism, and B: your argument is simply more ad hominem attacks.
4. Ad hominem is still not any way to get your point across.
5. I'm sorry if you find Addendum to be a waste of time, but if you do, why are you taking the time to post here?

I have decided that Amade is stupid and everybody who is ever against him about this oh-so brilliant "movement" is a smart and beautiful person.

Well I'm just going off of whoever posted the original topic because he started it and told the BL community what Zeitgeist was about, blame him.
I never said it was communism I was referring you to an angsty teenager who read the Communist Manifesto
#3 u mad?
and last, I'm taking the time to post here because Zeitgeist as a whole has been debunked, both movies slam supposed 'facts' down, and rarely site sources, and when they do they never provide page numbers, or any information to back it up. So both movies are 99.9% bullstuff fallacies, the movies and movement are run by conspiracy theorist nut jobs that think the government is out to harm them, when the government is just here to protect people like you and me. I find it funny how people think that movies like, Zeitgeist, addendum, the obama deception, etc. are all 'the truth'. Do yourself a favor and ask yourself, "Is this really going to happen?" take a look outside, do you see the streets aligned with chaos? I don't. There is no secret illuminati, Corporations DO NOT own us. Open your god damn eyes, nothing has changed, we're not in a police state. Just like a few years ago when Michael Ruppert said

Quote
Americans starving by August, 2009
People starving and screaming for food by August

and look what happened he was not even close, his prediction was based on the idea corn crops would cease, however the reality was the opposite:

"The U.S. Department of Agriculture said this month that it expects the domestic corn crop to rise to 12.954 billion bushels, up 7 percent from a year earlier and the second-biggest in history."

Cheers!!
