I also hate friends I know that are like "LOL I HAVE LIKE 5000 SOMGS BUT ONLY 1/2 THEM ARE BOUGHT"

I hate the idea of stealing. All those developers put work into those productions, and people just take them for free instead of paying a humble price.
Reality is that no matter how the product is distributed, people are going to steal it. That doesn't make piracy right, or exclude it from being wrong, but it's just something I accept.

I thought you were eating Asian food you flaming homoloveual.

I said I was ABOUT to. Speaking of which I think it's done. I can smell the oyster sauce. <3

Ew.

I guess you have a point there, its just that I really loving hate stealing in any form and can't accept it.

Now I am going to take a shower, and by the time I get back, this topic will have either 3+ more pages or be locked.

What the hell do you have to be pissed at?
Rage somewhere else, bro.

Late Reply: What do you expect from a Totalitarian?

I've seen reports on small studies such as an author making a book for free for a month for anyone to buy actually raised the author's purchases on things like other books and the same book that was for free. I doubt that there's much of a diffrence between a trend like that for book sales and game sales.

It depends. If it's a game like Modern Warfare 2, Black Ops, or Bulletstorm, it's ok because it's not worth the money at all.

Don't pirate indie games, they need the money.

Big corporations, meh.  But I would still recommend getting the game.

I don't consider piracy stealing because stealing involves someone else losing a copy, but it is copyright infringement. If you do pirate, you really should by the game afterwards, ESPECIALLY if it's an indie game. Some mainstream games aren't worth the money, honestly.

All of you who were just talking about piracy are going to be banned.
No talking about piracy is a rule.

We all agree it's wrong though, we were just answering a question.

I will point out the posts that will be banned, I have been banned for mentioning a private server before, so I know which will be.

This doesn't encourage but hints that it's still alright but only under certain circumstances.

Says it's okay to pirate from big companies.

Although has some kind of point to it, it still suggests pirating a game instead of buying a copy of it.
Only if the person would buy it without torrents. Otherwise, they're not losing a sale.
Says you should pirate if you plan on purchasing down the road (still stealing), it's like stealing something from a store and claiming you would have paid later.

If you would read my other posts, I think piracy is wrong. I don't recommend it at all. I'm simply trying to make a point for both sides.
