I'm talking about the Navajo, not upper class Americans.
Upper class American is a racial background?

Upper class American is a racial background?
Stocking apparently thinks so.

But you're the one who made the racial connection not Stocking.

OK, but that makes no mention of racial backgrounds. You clearly made the connection here.

I'm Cherokee.
I'm white 8)

I'm Cherokee.
The Cherokee culture is quite interesting, but the Trail Where They Cried, that was pretty sad. Not much happened with the Navajo, you have the Code Talkers, but that's about it.

Hm.

Interesting question.

If they kept samples, they could use it for research. But it could get out again if handled incorrectly.

hmmm...

But really, without smallpox the white man would have got curb stomped by the natives. All of us non-natives owe a little something to that little disease (if you ignore the millions of European deaths it caused too).

If Native Americans can beat an army of trained men with guns, you know you're screwed. Native Americans had such primitive weapons, made of stone, wood, and animal bits. They could do amazing things with a bow, I myself find it hard to hit a target beyond 20 feet, but some could snipe even the smallest thing.

It was more a matter of overwhelming numbers that the smallpox took care of.

I was talking about the fact that your dad is vice-president of a major news company and makes a six-figure salary.

I was talking about skill, but numbers are another factor.

I apologize for my misinterpretation, but why did you randomly bring that up? I'm curious to see the reasoning behind that.

All pathogens should, and will be, completely annihilated.
