What you need to understand is that Science has not reached the point we can assemble or produce living organisms, in part thanks to Christcigarettes that like to stymie technology and the whole of civilization because certain fields are just too sci-fi for them and it makes them uncomfortable.

We're already producing viruses. They've merged (I think) HIV and the Common Cold together to create something that could effectively kill the entire human species. We're already at the point were we can play God.

What you guys don't understand is that this future is inevitable. At some point the decision will be made that invalids need to be taken care of. We cannot let misfit genes spread around in humanity.

First abortions, then Eugenics. Resistance is futile and only, at best, delays the inevitable.

Why should invalids be denied the human experience because of their condition? It won't be too long until gene therapy rids us of birth defects and handicapation anyways, and it will definitely come a lot sooner than a space problem due to over-population that requires such drastic measures.

Well, yes. "Gene Therapy," as you put it, will correct mutations. However, in the mean time, selective breeding is what we have to work with.

And it's not just space. There's plenty of Earth left to go around, still. It's just a matter of who's taking care of who.

I didn't mean completely on our own.  The female mate always tries to find the strongest, fastest, best male mate it can find.  We try to find "love".  I'm not saying we can help it, but animals don't deal with love, they only try to mix the best genes.
