For the first discussion, I wanted to see what the forum thought because I always argue with my friend about god. The abortion was because you guys were talking about it during the god discussion.

A human life is worth something like 2.2 million bucks, so Abortion is a horrible financial decision.

The tissue and all that in a human is worth roughly $5. How is a life worth 2.2 million anyways?

I have a novel opinion on the death penalty.

1. Anyone should be allowed to request death. If you walk into a police station and say "I would like to die," you should be able to pay $100 and fill out a form before entering a shooting range. This applies to people in jail, minus the fee.

2. We should not force the death penalty on anyone. The three reasons for this are:

• It costs more money to kill someone than to house them for their entire lives.
• If an innocent person dies, there's no chance to reimburse them.
• The death penalty is a savage attempt at revenge. This is not what a "Corrections" facility is for.
