A idea of the rapier, can be when it does the minicrit, It flashes the target's screen red for thirty seconds, giving the spy a chance to eliminate the target in swift ease.

Thirty seems way, way too long.

That's a downright terrible idea.

The rapier could rape someone.

Or we could have something called the pen knife.

50% less damage
No random crits
Backstabbing a player gives the player 20 more Health.
Instead of blood, ink bleeds from the opponent.

And i know a pen knife is multiple tools, but their is "Pen" in the word and perhaps it could be just a pen or some sort.
It doesn't help that i thought of this in five seconds, either. So i don't expect anyone to like it.

Posted this on SPUF too

.880 Special
(Revolver)
-33% Clip Size
-20% Fire Rate

+50% Damage

Laser Watch
(Watch)
Hold secondary fire to use. Spy puts current weapon away and presses a button on his watch that fires a laser that increases in damage exponentially as it stays on a target (i.e. minimum DPS is 10 at 1 second on target, max DPS is 40 at 4 seconds). Haven't settled on exact damage yet, but it would falloff pretty quickly.
Cannot Cloak
+25% Recharge Time
Cannot Recharge at Dispensers

Filet de Français
(Rapier)
Cannot insta-kill on backstab
Cannot Disguise

+25% Damage
Mini-Crits on Backstab

Set Bonus: +25 HP

Also I'm not sure how well this would be implemented, but I'd like the .880 to replace the sapper with a detpack or something.
I have a better name for the two first weapons. Revolver: "The Frenchmens revolver"
And the watch:"The Eraser"

The rapier is pretty much an actual melee weapon with the added bonus of mini-critting on backstab. It doesn't do pisspoor damage if you miss a backstab, unlike the knife.
I was going to make the revolver replace the sapper with something else but I couldn't think of what to put instead.
Tell that to the genius that thought up the Eyelander and Targe.
The targe'n'sword combination is a great idea.
It charges at your oppenent,"Etc:The demoman is drunk so he probably would"
And then you chop there heads off, blow them up with aullapool, pan them or make a great escape.

Horrible idea.

Boring and boring.

DEMOLITIONS man fighting with a sword and shield? Makes absolute sense.

The Targe and the Sword were the stupidest additions to date and I hate you.

Or atleast make the rapier stay in and you have to kill them to get it back from their corpse, while they start bleedout damage 2% leaking.

That's even stupider.

That's even stupider.

Although the idea of some weapon like that is a bit interesting.

More crazy ideas: throwing knifes

Rapier should be:
+10% Damage
-90% fire resistance
Backstabbing takes a 2 second animation
Backstabbing does not remove disguise

Or something

I just want to throw this out there, rapiers are Italian, not French.

Nope. Mainly, Spanish, and no one really knows where the word "Rapier" came from. The rapier was widely used across of all of Europe around the 15th and 16th centuries, it's not accurate to attribute it to any one country.
