Author Topic: The worst song you have ever heard in your entire life and why you hate it.  (Read 1876 times)

The song in the OP is called Rockafeller Skank, and I happen to like it just as a side note.

anyway, I'd have to say the worst song I've ever heard is Like a G6 by Far East Movement.

Not only is it easy to hate the song from a musical standpoint (the hook of the song, which contains the name of the song, are sampled from an even worse song), it just pisses me off to see almost everyone at my highschool completely fall in love with a song that glorifies debauchery. I don't give a stuff that the artist made it, I'm not someone that thinks we should sensor music, but there was a time when music with such poor values was ostracized to the outside of societal norms and now this inversion has occurred where all this music has been thrust into the mainstream and that's what we hear on the radio.

And I know that there are songs from twenty, thirty, forty, fifty years ago that were arguably just as bad, but now we've got this blatant assertion of what is and is not cool, and what's cool right now is apparently drinking and loving and spending lots of money.

Perhaps this is the first step into the adulthood that I always hated the idea of "kids these days and their... xxx" but I feel like when the most popular songs is entirely and blatantly about drinking booze, even condemns chicks who are sober but act drunk, we've got to take a step back.

Call me a kermudgen or a hypocrite (I'm going to go play a game centered around killing in a sec, brb) all you want, forget it, I hope I'm wrong and this generation grows up to be productive members of a society that end up being more or less based around positive social values.

I loving hope you're right.
Or this world is going to plunge into a hole of darkness that will never come out.

A well written essay my good friend.

Music influences are daily lives and especially with our easily manipulated generation of teenagers and children. Parents no longer moderate what they see or watch. I mean sure my parents let me play games like DooM 2 when I was like four but it's a fictional game. You shoot loving zombies to demons for crying out loud. Even at that age you can tell it's fake. I hate it when kids go out and shoot people and blame it on a game. If they shoot someone then they were already forgeted up to begin with and the game maybe triggered him to go loving nuts but he would have eventually shot someone anyways.

Music on the other hand is not fictional (most of the time) and relates to real-world events. If we drill the idea into kids heads that drinking and screw multiple women while spending your entire financial income is OK then we are truly screwed. A majority of our generation of children will most likely wind up to be homeless or working at McDonalds contributing nothing to society.

Kids no longer care about their education. They only care about how many "hot bitches" they can date and appealing to what the majority of kids find "cool". A prime example would be a kid who goes to my Magnet/Tech school in which you have to apply to get in which provides more options and well funding. The kid has spoken to me saying that he wants to leave this school and go to a public school in which I responded, "Why?" He then responded with, "Because the bitches are hotter there."

/facepalm
1. You have a good education here. Why go to a school where I see a stuff load of kids smoking and drinking. Even my friend who goes to that school has converted to smoking marijuana.
2. Why do you even think those "hot bitches" will date you anyways?
3. Those "hot bitches" are going to be unemployed and ugly 10-30 years later.

I was watching the movie "Surrogates" when I saw something that reminded me of this.

In the beginning of the movie, two people are killed, through their robot bodies. If this is unclear, go watch the movie. Anyways, one (of the robots) was this young rich kid and the other was an attractive blonde. They visit the home of the attractive blonde, because the robots are operated from the houses. They find the operator to be a forty year old fat guy without pants.

My worst song is Soldiers and Jesus, by James Otto.

I don't think I even need to explain it.

Slow country music is awful awful stuff.

Faster more complex country music (the better country music gets, the closer it gets to Bluegrass) I can get into, especially when it's live, but damn I just hate slow country. It all sounds mostly the same.

I hate it because it consists of three phrases and one word: "Check it out now", "The funk soul brother", "Right about now", and the repetition of the word "bro".

Now, post links to songs you think suck and explain and stuff.
I like that song. I heard it alot a long time ago. :c
