I'm really honestly bemused by all the vitriol about 'copying minecraft'. You *DO* all know that Minecraft (creative) is a DIRECT copy of Infimininer? And that both of those games can clearly and directly trace their routes back to Roblox, Wurm Online, Voxlap, 3d Construction Kit.
Huh. So he's using indirect connection with other games to defend his direct connection with his game and Minecraft?
Roblox - Building, no cubes used and no grid...
Wurm Online - Terrain Shaping, no cubes
Voxlap - The only game that actually has a direct connection to Minecraft. But it's still just "creative".
3D Construction Kit - If you're using this old game, might as well say Mario also has connection to Minecraft. -_-
Now, FortressCraft...
1. Related name.
2. Nearly everything but nether and mobs.
Now, I like Minecraft and enjoy the game, but, I'm not an obsessive fanboy. It just ticks me off when I see a game that clearly, and obviously, has a direct connection to another famous game.
EDIT:
from twitter:
Chapter 2 introduces inventory, resources, crafting, etc.
That's so original!
I've decided that he just wants to make money. He probably won't even update it after 100 people pay for it.
