From what I can tell, they're being more mature about it there than here.

It wouldn't surprise me if the mods were keeping a close eye on the thread, and deleting any raging comments, as it has the potential to attract a lot of idiots who want to rage.

I took a look for myself and was quite surprised. This is actually a good reason to why I'm not seeing pages filled with

The graphics are horrible.

It was a user created mod made default into the game. I shut it off before I even got a look at it.

Notch stays in touch with his community. He probably saw many videos with people using the betterlight, so he thought it would be a good idea to make it default in the game.

maybe it will have something new and interesting. maybe it will turn out to be a massive pile of horse stuff. I'm buying it either way

Except that Blockland and Roblox have differences. FortressCraft seems to only have features found in minecraft, except with slightly better textures, stuffty models, and xbox avatars that don't fit in. It wouldn't surprise me if they threw in all the same monsters.

I have yet to see originality in fortresscraft.

Also, why would I succumb to playing games on an XBOX 360 when I have a good original easily modifiable like PC version of the game with SLIGHTLY lesser graphics?

Even with the 'lesser' graphics, at least Minecraft sticks to a theme.

Fortresscraft = low detail cubes, smooth fresh looking players, weapons that look like they came from 1998 games, nice water.
Like a box of cereal except there's a sandwich, some apple juice, and prime ribs. Sure all these things are good, but not together.
Minecraft = Cube everything.
A box of cereal with just cereal in it. Something you would eat.
